Kayla is a Certified Professional Pet Dog Trainer who graduated from Top Tier K9’s Academy for Dog Trainers in October of 2021 and Huffman K9 Obedience’s Master Trainer Academy in September of 2023. After spending nearly 16 years in the horse world, dog training came naturally and quickly became her passion. She chose to pursue a professional education and career in the K9 industry. She has had the opportunity to study under several successful trainers such as Jensen Huffman, Jeff Minder, Justin Rigney, Evan Nolte, and Gary Kammerer. Kayla has trained dogs in detection, protection and tracking, as well as specializing in pet dog obedience and in home canine management. Kayla is experienced in canine first aid, point of injury care and nutrition in addition to her formal education in working dog training and basic through advanced pet dog obedience. Kayla earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Montana Western in 2018. Kayla is always striving to continue her education and recently graduated from Huffman K9’s Train-the-Trainer program instructed by Jensen Huffman, a world renowned working and pet dog trainer out of Canby, OR.

Whiskey is a Treeing Walker Coonhound x who was the main reason Kayla got into training dogs to begin with. He has served as Kayla’s demo dog, and even helped teach group classes. His favorite activities include cuddling, whining and hiking. He recently achieved his NASDA Shed Dog I title at Montana K9 Sports in Arlee, MT.

Greeia is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who the vet techs refer to as a “Unicorn Corgi”. Her main occupation is simply being cute and making people smile.

Lira is the Papesh Pack’s newest addition, and Kayla’s first multi-purpose working dog. She is a West German Working Line Shepherd and came all the way from the Czech Republic. Lira is recently earned her NASDA Shed Dog I title at Montana K9 Sports in Arlee, MT. She also shows great promise as a Human Remains Detection dog.
