Superior K9 offers a 3 week Stay & Train program for fully crate trained dogs over 16 weeks old. We focus on the 5 basic obedience commands: sit, heel, come, climb and down. These commands provide structure and are the core of basic obedience, resulting in a stable, confident and well mannered K9 companion. Throughout the program, once a week lessons are held with the owner and dog to review what the dog has learned, and teach the owner how to apply it. This program also covers socialization, management, and how to set your dog up for success. This program does require specific equipment and tools to be purchased at the owners expense in order to continue training at home.

DOGS MUST BE FULLY CRATE TRAINED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR STAY & TRAIN

This train-the-owner program is designed to help owners establish a training and management system in their homes and everyday lives to build a better relationship with their dogs. Our goal is to create an obedient and stable dog and an educated, enthusiastic, and dedicated owner.

This program will cover the 5 basic commands (sit, down, come, climb and heel) as well as stress based training, learning theory and management. Training is tailored to each individual dog and handler.

Crate training is a required part of this program, and is an essential part of dog training. Owners will be responsible for crate training at home as a part of the program.

Homework will be given each week. Owners are expected to train daily with their dogs at home and be able to demonstrate what they have accomplished at the next lesson.

Because this program is owner education based, up to three dogs are welcome to attend weekly lessons per household.

Owners are expected to purchase the tools and equipment required for the program before the start of the program.
